Coffee Fest returning to Invermere

Coffee Fest is returning with a bang!

New this year is the one-day Barista Basics presented by Monogram Coffee out of Calgary. This one-day course is perfect for training coffee shop staff or management, or for those who enjoy making the perfect espresso based drink at home.

Also new this year is the Kootenay AeroPress Championship. Open to professionals and home brewers this is a fun, lighthearted competition to see who can produce the best cup of coffee using the AeroPress.

The winner moves onto the national competition in Calgary and the winner of nationals carries over to the world’s. Free entry and accommodation at nationals is sponsored by Eight Ounce Coffee Supply. The competition will take place during Expo on Saturday, March 5, spectators are welcome to attend and entry is free!

Looking to take in a film? How about two? On Friday, March 4 we will be showing two films, A Film About Coffee, and A Small Section of the World. The showing will be at Bud’s, the bar will be open for you to enjoy a beverage during the movies.
