Dusty Downhill raises $2k for Kimberley Arts

Ted Funsten, of Kimberley Alpine Resort / RCR, and Paddy & Naomi Humenny of the Kootenay Orienteering Club were at the Gazebo tonight (lead image), happy to present a cheque for $2,000 to Kimberley Arts Council / First Saturdays on behalf of the Dusty Downhill.

Thanks again to Kimberley Alpine Resort for their support, as the event wouldn’t have happened without them. One hundred and 20 participants from B.C. and Alberta came out for a ride to the top of Northstar Mountain, a hike or run to the Platzl followed by a BBQ hosted by Rotary, at Centre 64.

The event was organized by the Kootenay Orienteering Club and Kimberley Arts / First Saturdays in conjunction with Kimberley Alpine Resort.

In September the Kootenay Orienteering club will be hosting the Kootenay Orienteering Festival on September 6 and 7 with events in Invermere, Kimberley and Cranbrook.
