Grant writing workshop applications now accepted

Want to learn more about how to apply for arts, culture and heritage grants delivered by the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance?

Centre 64 winterAttend a free grant writing workshop with Krista Patterson or Natasha Smith, who will share with you how to apply and what to expect from the application process.

Individuals working in all artistic disciplines as well as arts, culture and heritage organizations residing in the Columbia Basin are invited to attend the workshops.

The Columbia Basin Trust’s Arts, Culture and Heritage grants are managed and administered by CKCA.

The Trust proudly supports initiatives and projects that highlight Basin culture and heritage, and for 2016/17, the Arts, Culture and Heritage program allocation is $706,000.

Workshops are free.

Pre-registration is required. Locations, dates and times are as follows:

fernieartstationFernie – Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. hosted by the Fernie & District Arts Council; Location: The Arts Station, 601 1st Ave., Fernie.

Kimberley – Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2 – 4 p.m. hosted by the Kimberley Arts Council; Location: Centre 64, 64 Deer Park Ave., Kimberley.

Creston – Friday, Feb. 12, 10 a.m. – 12 noon hosted by the Creston Community Arts Council; Location: Creston Rec. Centre (Rotacrest Hall), 312 – 19 Ave. N, Creston.

Kaslo – Friday, Feb. 12, 1 – 3 p.m. hosted by the N. Kootenay Lake Arts & Heritage Council; Location: Kaslo Seniors Hall, 4th St. (between Ave. A and Front St.) Kaslo.

Crescent Valley – Saturday, Feb. 13, 10 a.m. – noon hosted by the Slocan Valley Comm. Arts Council; Location: Crescent Valley Hall, 1385 Hwy. 6, Crescent Valley.

Salmo – Friday, Feb. 19, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. hosted by the Salmo District Arts Council; Location: Salmo Youth & Community Centre, 206 7th St. Salmo.

 

Online Workshops – Fri. Feb. 19, 2 – 4 p.m. and Tues. Feb. 23, 6 – 8 p.m.
