Jumbo Wild premiere Oct. 6

The premiere screening of Jumbo Wild, a Patagonia film made by Sweetgrass Productions, will be in Invermere on October 6.

This feature length documentary film gets to the heart of the Jumbo issues.

For decades, First Nations, conservationists, backcountry skiers and snowboarders have fought a proposed large-scale ski resort deep in the Purcell Mountains of British Columbia. After 24 years of opposition, what more will it take to keep Jumbo wild for good?

Screenings

Tuesday, October 6, Invermere Community Hall, 7:30 p.m. Followed by a panel discussion (this is a free event with limited seating capacity, seating is on a first come basis).

Wednesday, October 7, Cranbrook Key City Theatre, 7:30 p.m.

Jumbo Wild will be showing at the Vancouver International Film Fest, as well as the Banff Film Fest, and will travel across North America from West to the East Coast.
