Moments of the MusicFest

There are not many more lovely backdrops for a summer music festival.

With Lake Windermere glittering and rolling behind the stage, and the Purcell Mountains and Rocky Mountains towering above, the Invermere MusicFest – Waterfront Music Festival was all it promised to be and more.

Attendance figures are believed to have doubled over last year for the well-run event.

Sponsored and put on by Columbia Valley Arts, the festival featured much more than excellent music, including the MusicFest Food Village and a refreshment garden.

Vancouver’s The Boom Booms were the headliner for the day, which featured two stages, with the Harpoonist & Axe Murderer, The River and the Road, KellyLee Evans and five B.C./local bands, including the Columbia Valley’s Otters, Dandelions and Sheberdean, Cranbrook’s Good Ol’ Goats and Emaline Delapaix rounded out the musical roster.
