Period dress highlight of Pynelogs book signing
Invermere author Elinor Florence held a B.C. launch of her debut wartime novel Bird’s Eye View Friday, Nov. 14 at Pynelogs Cultural Centre.
About 70 people attended the Invermere Public Library and the Columbia Valley Arts Council-sponsored the event, which encouraged attendees to dress in Second World War era apparel.
People who dressed in costume were eligible for a draw for a free book, which was won by Arnold Scheffer.
Florence also held a book signing at Cranbrook’s Lotus Books last Saturday, Nov. 22.
