Poor ticket sales lead to Gramm show cancellation

Poor ticket sales for the upcoming Lou Gramm concert during the Saturday evening Sam Steele Days celebrations in Cranbrook has forced organizers to cancel the show.

“The Cranbrook Sam Steele Society wisely cancelled the upcoming Lou Gramm concert in light of poor ticket sales. Unfortunately, the financial implications are large for this community, non-profit association,” stated the society in a news release.

Gramm, former lead singer of the multi platinum 1970s and 1980s chart sensation Foreigner, was to play at the Cranbrook Rec Plex on June 16.
Directors of the Sam Steele Society will be making phone calls to ticket purchasers to arrange for a refund. If by chance you do not receive your phone call, to request a refund call 250 426-4161, fax: 250 426-3873 or email: [email protected].
“The Sam Steele Society appreciates the community’s understanding of its decision,” stated the city’s largest annual event organizers.
“The good news is we will still be hosting our Festival Gardens on Saturday, June 16 at the Memorial Arena, featuring Billy Jive. We are looking forward to a very successful festival with many activities for the whole family to participate in,” the society said.
