Roller Disco coming to Invermere

On July 25, The Station Pub and the Invermere Curling Club are proud to host the first ever Roller Disco.

The ice has been removed and 270 pairs of roller skates have arrived just in time for one of the coolest events Invermere has to offer.

DJ Wil C will be pumping the tunes all night to make sure this is a night you won’t forget. Our hometown roller derby team the ‘Killer Rollbots’ have generously offered their helping hand in teaching free skating lessons to all!

We are also excited to have a sneak peek at Fuze Pizza that will be for sale all evening long and opening to the public in the fallowing weeks. Along with their support, Syndicate Boardshop has donated prizes for ‘best dressed’ to the event, so make sure you’re dressed up in your best disco wear.

This event will have two skate sessions. The first skate session of the night is from 5 – 7 p.m. and is open to all ages and families. After, the ‘Adults Only’ skate will start from 8 until 10 p.m. If you’re not a roller skater, that’s okay! We’ve set up a beer garden and a food area where pizza and soft drinks will be on sale all night and you can sit down, hang out and have a guaranteed laugh.

There will be a $15/person entrance fee that includes your skate rentals but please remember to bring your own protective equipment. This event is all about having fun and bringing the community together so we want to keep it as safe and as fun as possible. Unfortunately this event will be cash only but the curling club is throwing distance to two banks. Come on out and show your support for this event so we can continue to bring great ideas and parties to the valley. Cheers!
