Valley GOGO Sisters hosting Kazuri Jewelry event
Kazuri Jewelry is back! Handmade, hand-painted ceramic jewelry from Nairobi, Kenya on display and sale Saturday, Oct. 11 at Pynelogs Cultural Centre in Invermere from 12:30-3 p.m.
Each bead is shaped by one of 350 local women employed by Kazuri. Those women are paid a fair price for their work and are employed in a comfortable working environment, including daycare services.
This event is hosted by the Valley GOGO Sisters in support of African grandmothers.
Tickets are available at the Trading Post for presale and luncheon 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
