Hot on the heels of talk that WestJet will soon be flying into Canadian Rockies International Airport, Integra Air has announced it is expanding its winter schedule from the Cranbrook area airport to Edmonton International to five days per week, effective Monday January 9.

The revision provides an expansion of three flights per week which increases the service between the two communities to five days per week – Monday to Friday.

“This is an exciting and positive announcement from Integra Air,” said Cranbrook Mayor Wayne Stetski. “It reaffirms to visitors and residents, that service and passenger numbers are increasing and that our airport continues to be a vibrant and growing part of our economy. Integra Air’s commitment to the East Kootenay region is very much appreciated.”

Dave Macfarlane of Integra Air says, “Integra’s goal from the outset has been to provide excellent service, both to folks who want to enjoy the amazing recreational opportunities available in the Kootenay Rockies region and to those who are working away from home and need a convenient and safe way to commute. Our strategy involves listening to our customers, and this schedule change is an outcome.”

“Integra Air’s exceptional customer service is showing benefit, with their passenger loads continuing to grow steadily,” says Airport Managing Director Tristen Chernove. “The growth in service reflects Integra’s response to customer surveys and direct requests from travellers connecting through Edmonton International Airport to other domestic and international destinations.”

Integra Air, Air Canada Express and Pacific Coastal Airlines continue to provide quality services to and from the Canadian Rockies International Airport.
