The Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first luncheon of 2015 on Jan. 22 at the Chamber/Lions Hall, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:20 p.m.

On hand for the luncheon, the fifth annual Local Government Update, will be valley Regional District of East Kootenay directors who will be presenting their priorities for 2015 and taking questions.

“The chamber will be asking them specifically to comment on economic development initiatives and other initiatives that may have a direct impact on business in the valley,” said chamber manager Susan Clovechok.

The cost of the luncheon is $15 for members and $20 for non-members (pay at the door).
