Denham Ford’s truck shoot nets $1,497 for Starlite

“The generosity of the people in our community never ceases to amaze me especially around the time the foundation hosts its annual Starlite Campaign,” says EKFH Executive Director Donna Grainger.

In her remarks Grainger is referring to the recent success of the Denham Ford Shoot for the Truck event at the December 27 Kootenay ICE hockey game at Western Financial Place.

Hockey fans were more than generous in donating $1,497 for community healthcare initiatives while also hoping for a chance to be one of two individuals to shoot a puck to win a stunning Ford truck compliments of Braydon Denham at Denham Ford.

Although both shooters were a bit off the sweet spot, the real winner is the Starlite Campaign. Denham’s gift is dedicated to East Kootenay Foundation for Health’s unrestricted general fund and will be joined with other generous contributions from the Starlite Campaign to purchase essential minor equipment needs for the regional hospital.

EKFH sincerely thanks the continued support of Denham Ford and the Kootenay ICE and all you hockey fans in making the 2013 Shoot for the Truck fundraiser a major success.
