Join us in the elegance of the Royal Alexandra Hall for an evening of fine dining, entertainment, history and music.
The evening will unfold with a themed dinner taking you across Canada in Ā the year 1864, from the regal opulence
of the Charlottetown Conference to the humble simplicity
of homesteaders establishing themselves on the new frontier.
The dinner will feature a four course menu Ā prepared by a
professional chef, highlighting recipes and ingredients
common to the era.
Historical characters from Sir John A MacDonald to Colonel Baker will come back to life with brief snippets and conversations that will transport you to a point in time just before the nation formed.
At the centre of the evening is the beautifully restored 1864 Broadwood and Sons Grand Piano ā€“ one of the History Centreā€™sĀ treasures.Ā Michael Kim, one of Canadaā€™s foremost classical pianistā€™sĀ will take us on a musical journey highlighting Ā the richĀ European traditions alongside the first pieces of New World expression framed by the masterpiece of 1864 craftsmanship of the Broadwood and Sons Concert Grand Piano.
