Adventure Radium; LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN
Adventure Radium is a summer program presented by the Village of Radium Hot Springs. The program is offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, throughout the months of July and August. It is not a summer ‘camp’ where kids attend for a full day. Instead, it is a summer ‘program’ which is divided into 2 separate, 2 1/2 hour sessions, one in the morning, and one in the afternoon. The morning session is tailored for younger participants, 5-7/8 years old, and the afternoon session is tailored for older kids, 8 years old and up. These separate sessions allow the leaders to create games, crafts and activities geared towards the age and abilities of the two groups. If you have a child whose age may allow them to be in either group, it is advisable to consider your child’s ability level when determining which group he/she would be most comfortable in. After all, it is our priority that each child have the best possible experience at Adventure Radium!
In summary, Adventure Radium:
- runs every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in July and August;
- begins July 7, 2015 until August 27, 2015;
- welcomes ages 5 – 7/8 from 9:30 am to noon;
- welcomes ages 8 and up from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm;
- costs: $5 drop in fee per child; $48 full time child fee; $96 full time family (2 or more siblings) fee;
- requires payment in cash, cheque or debit (only at the Village Office) at the time of registration or in advance at the Village Office;
- meets at Brent’s Shack – near the skating rink/Legends field ball park;
- has the Registration form and Parent Guide available here online or at the Village Office;
- asks that you send your child with a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, water and a small snack;
- expects participants to be able to follow the leaders’ instructions and directions as the program takes place outdoors;
- strives to ensure each child has a wonderful experience, meets new friends, greets friends from past programs, and enjoys the Adventure!
