The Cranbrook and District Arts Council Presents:  “CDAC Kids Summer Art Program”

CDAC is Happy to announce that we will be putting on an expanded Kids Summer Art Program Series directed at kids aged 6-13 Years, beginning on Monday July 13th. The Program will Run from July 13th – 17th; July 27th – 31st ; August 10th – 14th ; and on August 24th – 28th with the conclusion on Saturday August 29th in Rotary Park at the Art in the Park Celebration.

The Series Schedule is as follows:
Week 1:
Monday July 13th – Friday July 17th  9am to 4pm – Kids will explore Clay and Paper Mache’ Mediums with teachers Colleen Routley and Kirsten Taylor
Week 2:
Monday July 27th – Friday July 31st  9am to 4pm – Painting, Drawing and Visual Art Mediums with Carla O’Bee
Week 3:
Monday  August 10th – Friday August 14th  9am to 4pm – A Fashion and Costume Designing Camp for Kids with Instructor Sioban Staplin
Week 4:
Monday August 24th – Friday August 28th 9am to 4pm – A Theatre Camp with Teacher Beth Turcon

Saturday August 29th Art in the Park Celebration – The Public is welcome to come and celebrate the Arts with us! The kids from the Summer Art Program will have a chance to showcase all of their hard work! There will be Interactive Art Stations, Art Displays from the Clay and Visual Arts Camps, a Small Theatrical Performance from the kids in the Theatre Camp and a Fashion Show from the kids in the Fashion and Costume Design Camp. More information will be released closer to the Date.

 

Pricing: $169 Per child Per week (This Program is eligible for the $500 Child Arts Tax Credit)

Payment can be made by: Cash, Cheque, Visa, Mastercard or Amex. Organizations are welcome to Sponsor a Child to attend the Program if cost is an issue. 

 

Kids should bring their lunches with them when attending the workshops. CDAC will supply light snacks and exercise breaks across the street at Rotary Park, so Parents are advised to ensure that kids are properly prepared.
