For the 10th successive year, the Arts on the Edge festival offers you an afternoon and evening of live music, artisan demonstrations and displays, children’s crafts, face-painting, and hoola-hooping at the Kids’ Zone, and an evening concert at the Centre 64 outdoor stage with a cash bar and food vendors to help you enjoy the Kimberley Kaleidoscope festival’s concluding party. The day starts with Paint Out on the Platzl from 9 am to 12 noon, your chance to watch some local landscape painters at work. Entertainment at the Platzl gazebo starts at 1 p.m with belly dancer Natassja inviting you to join her in this fun and provocative dance form. This will be followed at 2 pm by the Rosie Brown Band performing on the Centre 64 outdoor stage. Then, at 3 pm, Matt Duffus will be on the gazebo stage inviting you to sing along with him as he entertains in his inimitable style. The afternoon’s music concludes with the Bison Brothers on the Centre 64 outdoor stage starting at 4 pm During the afternoon you can bid in a silent auction on the paintings produced during Paint Out on the Platzl and enjoy the demos and displays by regional artisans. You are then invited to stick around and enjoy food and drink from the food vendors and cash bar at the Centre 64 outdoor stage before the Saturday Night Outdoor Concert by acclaimed Calgary bluesmen, Donald Ray Johnson and his band, begins at 7 pm with a lantern parade.

All daytime events are free of charge and admission to the evening concert is by donation.
