Follow the Pied Piper through Centre 64 with appetizer and wine glass in hand as you listen to poems and stories told by a gaggle of local poets and writers, finally arriving at the theatre where renowned Fernie author Angie Abdou will read from some of her works. The journey will start in the courtyard at 8 pm with a welcome and some witty words before you are led by flutist Jeannie MacDonald to the gallery where, amidst the sparkling colours of the Arts on the Edge art exhibition, you will be treated to more poems and stories. From there follow the piper into the dance studio to recharge your glass at the no-host bar, select some delectable eatables, and enjoy the grand piano stylings of pianist Sharla Smith and yet more words of wonder from the Wandering Wordsmythes. Finally the flute will lead you through the upper gallery and into the theatre from where, ensconced in the somewhat questionable comfort of the theatre seats, you can end the evening enjoying the stories told by the inestimable Angie Abdou.
Tickets are just $10, available from Centre 64, The Snowdrift Café, and at the door.
