20 Toilet Rebate applications remain

City expects program to end before end of September

Only 20 rebates remain in the 2014 Low Flow Toilet Rebate Program in the City of Cranbrook.

Applications for the rebates are evaluated by staff and processed on a first come, first serve basis. Submitting an application does not guarantee a rebate, so residents are encouraged to take part as soon as possible as the remaining rebates will go quickly.

To qualify for a rebate, you must be a property owner in the limits of the City of Cranbrook. Starting Wednesday May 1, 2013 you can download the Rebate program application forms from the city’s website or pick one up at City Hall. Purchase and install a new certified six litre or dual flush toilet and be sure to properly dispose of your old toilet in an environmentally responsible manner.

Property owners replacing toilets on all residential, single and multi-family properties in Cranbrook, built prior to January 1, 2013 are eligible to participate in the program. The rebate does not apply to toilets being installed as part of additions or new construction.

For more information on the program or to get an application, visit www.cranbrook.ca or drop by City Hall.
