BC Coroners Service identifies backcountry skier

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after being involved in an avalanche incident near Kimberley on Feb. 28, 2015.

The man was Robert Bradley Fuller, aged 50, from Kimberley.

Mr. Fuller was part of a backcountry skiing party that was traversing a cornice when a weak spot gave way and Mr. Fuller was witnessed to fall down the mountainside.

Mr. Fuller was located by members of his party but had succumbed to injuries sustained during his fall. Search and rescue teams attended and were able to recover Mr. Fuller by helicopter.

The BC Coroners Service continues to investigate this death.
