Overnight rain and sleet has turned some regional highways into perilous places this morning, with a black ice warning for Highway 3 in the Elk Valley.

DriveBC is warning about black ice and freezing rain from Elko to the Alberta border. Please be wary of conditions on Highway 43, between Sparwood and Elkford, too.

Please slow down and drive according to the conditions.
