Candidates’ debate in Invermere tonight

The schedule for the four candidates vying for the Member of Parliament seat for Kootenay-Columbia is beginning to tighten up as the Oct. 19 federal election inches closer.

Four debates/forums are scheduled in the next week, beginning tonight in Invermere.

The Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce All Candidates’ Debate is being held Monday, September 28 from 7 – 8 p.m. at David Thompson Secondary School Theatre in Invermere.

Kimberley candidates’ debate Wednesday

The Kimberley Chamber of Commerce All Candidates’ Debate is being held on Wednesday at Centre 64.

The September 30 forum begins at 7 p.m. at Centre 64, 64 Deer Park Ave, Kimberley.

Sparwood debate

Elk Valley voters will have a chance to hear candidates bid for their votes during the Elk Valley – Sparwood Chamber of Commerce forum at 7 p.m. on Oct. 5 at the Causeway Bay Hotel, 102 Red Cedar Drive.

Creston forum

Creston voters can learn more about the Kootenay-Columbia riding candidates during the Creston Valley Chamber of Commerce forum Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Creston and District Community Complex 312 19th Ave. North.

Running for office are incumbent Conservative Party candidate David Wilks, NDP candidate Wayne Stetski, Liberal Party candidate Don Johnston and Green Party candidate Bill Green.
