City taking comments on Liquor Licence Amendment

The Kodiak Lounge located at 892 – 6th Avenue, Fernie, has applied to the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch (LCLB) for a change to their existing liquor licence (Liquor Primary), which if approved, will amend their current Liquor Licence to include an existing Outdoor Patio.

The permitted person capacity of the Outdoor Patio is 44 persons. Proposed hours of operation for the Outdoor Patio are 11 a.m. to Midnight, Monday through Sunday.

As part of the application process there is an opportunity for the City of Fernie to gather the views of residents and businesses who/that may be affected by the proposed amendment.  After gathering those views, the LCLB gives local government (the City of Fernie) the opportunity to provide comment on the proposed amendment. Council will consider the application at a regular meeting of council to be held at 7 p.m. on June 22, in council chambers at 501 – 3rd Avenue.

If you would like to provide any comments to council on this matter prior to their providing a resolution to the LCLB regarding the application, please provide your comments in writing, no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, June 22.

Please be sure to provide your name, address and contact information with your comments.
