COs made aware of bobcat at JimSmith

The BC Conservation Officer Service has been notified of a bobcat at JimSmith Lake Provincial Park.

Video was taken Wednesday, July 29 of a bobcat wandering the beach area, reportedly chasing the gophers. A woman was also allegedly scratched by the wild cat, according to audio in the following video.

The City of Cranbrook was contacted about the incident yesterday. “I’ve notified the Conservation Officer Service,” reported city Corporate Communications Officer Chris Zettel.
