COTR welcomes new Vice President

College of the Rockies is pleased to announce the appointment of Stan Sae-Hoon Chung as the new Vice President, Education and Applied Research.

Chung, who joined the college December 1, brings with him 25 years of experience in Canadian post-secondary education.Ā  He has held positions that include Vice President Academic and Research at Red River College, Dean of Arts and Science at Camosun College, Associate Dean of Arts and Foundational Programs at Okanagan College, Associate Professor and Chair of Communications at Okanagan University College and instructor in English, Business and New Media at College of New Caledonia.

Chung holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia, a Masters of Arts from the University of Toronto and is a PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia in Interdisciplinary Studies.Ā  He is an active writer and journalist with many publications, including Global Citizen: River of Love and Other Essays.

Chung and his wife Alberta, who is an English as an Additional Language instructor, are relocating from Winnipeg and have two teenaged children.
