Cranbrook Habitat Project gets major contribution

The first East Kootenay Habitat for Humanity home, located on Slater Road in Cranbrook, is nearing completion and one of the major contributors to the project has been Salvador Ready Mix Concrete LP, a subsidiary of The Mainroad Group since 2006.

HFH Project Leader Gord Johnston noted: “Lorne Isberg represented one of the first community businesses to agree to support this project. The concrete was such a huge part of the first stage and the Salvador donation gave us an incredible boost.”

“Salvador Ready Mix Concrete LP is very pleased to have had the opportunity to supply concrete and aggregate to the Habitat for Humanity housing project in Cranbrook,” said General Manager Lorne Isberg. “It was very nice to work alongside so many volunteers and to see a project of this magnitude come to completion. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this endeavour.”

Johnston added, “This is just one example of the support we’ve received. Community support is the only way this kind of project can progress and we sincerely thank all the businesses, groups and individuals who have made it possible. Phase One of the build is now complete and we are moving into Phase Two, which will see the final touches to the house and landscaping finished in a few weeks time.”
