Residents of and visitors to the City of Cranbrook driving electric vehicles now have a place to charge up. Public Works installed an Evr-Green electric vehicle charging station on the northwest side of the Cranbrook Curling Club in October and it has been operational since.

The charging unit is a 32 amp, 240 volt charging station that takes between four and eight hours to fully charge a depleted electric vehicle battery, depending on the size of the battery. There is no charge to recharge any electric vehicle using the new charger.
