The Evacuation Order has been lifted for the Kragmont area (and south), the Regional District of East Kootenay just reported.

An Evacuation Alert has been issued for the area that was under Evacuation Order and residents are encouraged to remain ready to leave again immediately should conditions change.

The Evacuation Alert remains in place for the community of Baynes Lake.

To repeat: an evacuation alert is now in place for the entire area covering Baynes Lake, Kragmont and an area south of the river (which had previously been under evacuation order).
