The East Kootenay Friends of Children and Cranbrook Dairy Queen are teaming up to raise funds for the not-for-profit group that helps children and families in times of medical need.

The fundraising partnership will see $1 from every Blizzard sold to be donated to East Kootenay Friends of Children.

East Kootenay Friends of Children support East Kootenay families when their children require specialized medical services outside our region. The funds raised will help East Kootenay Friends of Children provide support to families for travel, meals and accommodation.  With one toll-free phone call, parents can reach help to navigate services and link to needed resources.

The all-day fundraiser is being held Friday, June 12 at the Dairy Queen at 1501 Cranbrook Street North.

East Kootenay Friends of Children’s aims: reduce emotional stress to families; access services and navigate the health system; link families to resources and local agencies; and support families financially to access needed medical services for their children.
