FSR restriction for Cherry Lake wildfire

A public access restriction is in effect immediately for the Caven, Wickman, Larch, Bloom, Teepee and Teepee / Jim Creek Forest Service Road due to the wildfire burning by Cherry Lake.

Teepee CreekThis restriction takes effect immediately and will remain in force until the public is otherwise notified.

This area restriction order applies to Crown land within the geographic boundaries outlined below:

– Caven Creek Forest Service Road network starting at kilometre 27 and also including Wickman Creek FSR, Larch Creek FSR, and Bloom Creek FSR to kilometre 51.

– Teepee Jim Creek Forest Service Road starting at kilometre 34 on Teepee Creek Forest Service Road.

The wildfire burning west of Cherry Lake is estimated at 1,000 hectares. Today, 43 personnel, seven helicopters and six pieces of equipment are on-site. This wildfire is not currently threatening any communities or structures.
