Great turnout at first advance voting opportunity

A total of 386 registered and new voters, or 7.42% of eligible electors, turned out at Centennial Centre on Wednesday (Nov. 5) to cast their ballots at the first advance voting opportunity of the 2014 Kimberley Municipal Election.

Kimberley voters were satisfied with the new voting process using the Automated Voting Machine, with many positive comments about “progress” and “that was easy” throughout the day.

Residents are reminded that voting in the City of Kimberley election is limited to Resident Electors, and Non-Resident Property Electors. For more information on Elector Qualifications, please visit www.kimberley.ca, and click on the red November 15 City Election button.

Residents at highly encouraged to take advantage of the second advance voting opportunity on Wednesday, November 12 at Centennial Centre, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
