Hunter accidently shot during grizzly charge

Reports are starting to appear of a 56-year-old man being accidently shot by his hunting partner during a grizzly bear charge this morning (Oct. 12) near Fernie.

The man was taken to a Calgary hospital by STARS air ambulance at about 9 a.m. this morning, a call confirmed by STARS’ Twitter feed.

According to Global Lethbridge: “David Karn, a spokesman for B.C.’s Ministry of Environment, says the victim was in stable condition when he left the area. He is currently at Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary and is now believed to be in critical condition.”

More details will be available when provided by authorities.
