Juras returns as Canal Flats mayor
Ute Juras is returning as Mayor of the Village of Canal Flats for a third term.
Initial reports from polls show Juras has defeated challenger Dean Midyette 200 to 83 votes.
Canal Flats’s new council will be Erin Gornik, Paul Marcil, Marie Delorme and Karl Sterzer.
Gornick had the most votes with 221 while Marcil had 211 and Delorme 210, with Sterzer earning 181. Roy Webb received 148 votes.
