Kimberley 2014 municipal preliminary election results are in
It’s unofficial, but after 10 days, 45 hours of voting, and 2635 ballots cast, the City of Kimberley has elected its next city council.

Election of the 2014-2018 City Council is only one part of Kimberley’s election story. This year, the City of Kimberley introduced automated voting machines for ease of voting and quick preliminary results. Chief Election Officer and Corporate Officer for the City of Kimberley stated, “We are pleased to see that the community embraced automated voting.”
Of the 5,358 of eligible electors, 49 per cent participated in the election. Of the total number of ballots cast though there were 23 Non-Resident Property Electors and 165 new registered voters that cast ballots in the 2014 Kimberley municipal election. “We are satisfied with the voter turnout this year,” says Mr. Harms. The average municipal voter turn-out in the province is approximately 33 per cent.
Official results for the 2014 Kimberley Municipal Election will be provided early to mid-next week.
