Meet Brynn: A Community Hero

This week’s Community Hero is six-year-old Brynn of Cranbrook.

A love of cats and dogs inspired Brynn to raise $50 for the East Kootenay SPCA during her birthday party for the Be A Community Hero campaign.

Be a Community Hero encourages kids of all ages who are hosting a party or celebration to choose a cause close to their heart and ask their guests to bring a small donation instead of a present. When making the donation to the organization of choice, the child will have his or her photo taken and be featured on e-know.ca as the week’s community hero. The child will also take home a certificate and, better yet, the awesome, warm fuzzy feeling one gets from choosing to give rather than receive.

BrynnName: Brynn

Birthday: Feb. 1

Favourite activity: Building Lego

Who is your hero and why? My mom and dad, because they help me to be the best I can be.

Amount of donation: $50

Organization receiving donation: East Kootenay SPCA.

Why did you choose to be a hero today? I love cats and dogs, especially baby cats because they are so cute. I want them to be able to find homes.

To Be A Community Hero and get featured on e-KNOW.ca, complete this form and bring it with you when you make your donation!
