New council being sworn in Dec. 3
Village of Radium Hot Springs‘ new council will begin their four-year term Dec. 3 during a special swearing-in ceremony at the Radium Visitor Centre.
The village’s new mayor and council head to office without an election campaign to fight as only one person ran for mayor and only four names came forward for council.
Clara Reinhardt (pictured above) left her council seat for a shot at mayor and due to acclamation will become the village’s third mayor in its 24-year history.
Also returning to council are Ron Verboom, Todd Logan and Karen Larsen, while newcomer Tyler McCauley replaces Reinhardt.
The swearing-in ceremony begins at 7 p.m.
