Police seek witnesses to Highway 95A crash

Kimberley RCMP is seeking witnesses or information regarding a crash that took place Saturday afternoon, Nov. 8 on Highway 95A near Wycliffe Park Road.

A black or dark coloured four door domestic vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way coming onto the highway from the west on Wycliffe Park Road. A southbound vehicle swerved to avoid collision, the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled before coming to rest in the ditch. The driver and a child were taken to East Kootenay Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

At the intersection it’s believed the driver either turned left towards Kimberley from Wycliffe Park Road or went straight across. Police are asking anybody who witnessed the incident to contact Kimberley RCMP, 250 427-4811 or Crimestoppers.
