Proposed schedule for 2015 Roads Program
This is the proposed schedule for repaving to occur this summer as part of the City of Cranbrook 2015 Capital Roads Program.
Affected businesses and residents will receive additional notification prior to any planned closures or access restrictions. Drivers and pedestrians are asked to please watch for and respect all traffic signs and directions from flaggers and remember to slow down in construction zones.
Please note this schedule is subject to change.
Week of May 25: Kootenay Street -21st Avenue to Kootenay Place, 26th Avenue South & 2A Street.
Week of June 1: Cranbrook Street North – 2nd Street North to Highway 3, Airport Access Road.
Week of June 8: Industrial Road 2.
Week of June 15: 4th Street South – 8th Avenue South to 11th Avenue South.
Week of June 29: Sylvan Heights (Numerous Avenues & Streets), 26th Avenue South & 2A Street.
Week of July 20: 26th Avenue South & 6th Street South; 2nd Street South – 27th Avenue South to 31st Avenue South.
Week of July 27: 2nd Street South – Victoria Avenue to 24th Avenue South.
Week of August 10: 27th Avenue South & 29th Avenue South.
The road work will consist of removal of the asphalt, reshaping of the road bed to ensure better water runoff and finally repaving the street. No underground infrastructure work (water lines, sewer lines, storm sewer system) is planned.
