From cheers to jeers
There is a section in the Criminal Code that states a person has the right to defend themselves.
Recently I found myself in a serious situation to defend myself and I had to use a Veto Power. Had it in small print in our wedding vows.
At a recent meeting a person I thought to be a friend suggested to my wife that she write a rebuttal editorial in the local media. At first I thought, cheers to that idea, it could be fun. However, that went to an immediate jeers when I realized the damage it could cause.
My appointed celebrity status granted to me by the Pynelogs Society would be in jeopardy of being rescinded. “Hell has no fury then a woman scorned” also came to mind. “Vengeance is sweet,” another thought. Was not a win win situation.
It’s very seldom I will take out my veto card but in this instance I felt it was appropriate. With the amount of renovations being done in Golden I am well aware just how strong and respected my veto power is.
