Two vehicle accident at 95A junction

An accident involving a green Jeep and white Escalade on Highway 95A this afternoon closed the highway while RCMP and Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services secured the scene.

There is no word yet on any injuries being incurred in the accident, which resulted in the Jeep rolling onto its side and the Escalade suffering some front end damage.

Highway 95A is now reduced to single lane alternating traffic, according to DriveBC as of 2:30 p.m. The slow down is expected to last until about 3:30 p.m.

Traffic is still able to access Theatre and Mission roads.
