Valley rallies again for one of it’s own

The Columbia Valley community is once again rallying for one of it’s own.

This time, valley residents are throwing their support behind Tim Goldie and his family.

Along with a Crowdrise funding page established, a Jan. 30 fundraising evening is being planned.

“Tim is a father of two beautiful daughters, Ashley and Piper, as well as the husband of Laura Lindsay. They have a long history of living in the beautiful Columbia Valley and are helpful, supportive, contributing members of our amazing community. Unfortunately, they are now in need of our contributions to assist them in their travel, treatment and recovery for Tim’s recent diagnosis of Stage 4 Glioblastoma (brain cancer). The funds raised from this will site will  be assisting Tim in his treatment, travel and recovery. The family needs to be able to focus on health and wellness and this will allow them to do so,” states the introduction on the fundraising page, established by Monica Fisher.

“The family is overwhelmed and grateful for all that the community at large is providing. Thank You for all you are doing. Share the love… and this page,” she said.

As for the community event fundraiser, details are only starting to be formed.

If you are interested in volunteering please attend a meeting at the Invermere Fire Hall on Monday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m.
