Volunteer Appreciation taking place Nov. 27
The City of Fernie is hosting a Volunteer Appreciation event on Friday, Nov. 27.
“This event provides an opportunity to express sincere gratitude on behalf of council and the residents of Fernie to our many dedicated community volunteers. If you volunteer for any community organization, committee or club, we would like to treat you to lunch and spend some time sharing how volunteers like you make our community a better place,” the city states on its website.
“Our volunteers inspire us every day. Without them, Fernie would not be the special place it is and Council and I sincerely appreciate everything they do for our community,” noted Mayor Mary Giuliano.
The event is being held at the Senior Citizen Drop In Centre (552 – 3rd Avenue), from noon to 2 p.m. RSVP to 250-423-4458 or email [email protected]
