Between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m. on  April 8, district staff will be conducting a ‘Night Water Flow Analysis’ in the area shown in the accompanying map. The purpose of this analysis is to identify potential leaks within our water supply lines, the district explained.

If you live in this area you may experience the temporary reduction of flow or complete shutting off of municipal water. Each test should only affect the availability of water for no more than five minutes at any given time as service will be restored as soon as each test is complete, the district explained on its website.

The district is also asking everyone with automated sprinklers to disengage the timer for the evening.

The district notes water users may experience air or minor turbidity when they first run their water, even after the testing period has completed. If this occurs, run a cold water tap for a few minutes to flush any particulates or air bubbles from the line. If issues persist after flushing – or if you have any other concerns – contact Public Works at 250-425-7760 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
