Winter in Motion one of the best
The Columbia Valley’s Winter in Motion Festival has been recognized by FlightNetwork magazine as one of the best cold weather festivals in Canada.
In a Dec. 14 piece ‘12 Canadian Cold Weather Festivals you must Attend,’ FlightNetwork places the valley-wide winter festival in seventh place, making it the top rated B.C. winter festival.
“Perhaps the longest winter festival in Canada, Winter in Motion runs from December to March in the Columbia Valley region, encompassing Fairmont Hot Springs, Invermere, Radium Hot Springs and more. Parades, light shows, craft fairs, snow golf tournaments, winter hang gliding, a bonspiel-on-the lake and pond hockey keeps residents and visitors alike enthralled for the whole winter season,” FlightNetwork’s Sarah Deveau noted.
