New men’s counselling program at Summit

Summit Community Services Society has received funding from Columbia Basin Trust to create a Men’s Counselling Project; a pilot project for the next year.

This service is available to males over the age of 18 in the Cranbrook and Kimberley area who are experiencing or going through: separation/divorce, depression, anxiety, self-esteem struggles, anger, grief, loss, and any other life stressor.

Cam McCallum, executive director of Summit, “We have offered services to women at our Cranbrook Family Centre, it is now a great opportunity to expand our services, and offer free counselling support to men in our community.”

Since this is a pilot project, hours are limited to two days a week.
