Sunshine Houseboats tops in Western Canada
Lake Koocanusa-based Sunshine Houseboats & Marina has been named the top tourism business in Western Canada in Canada Travel’s Travelers’ Choice Awards 2017.
Canada Travel recently announced the Top 10 Tourism Businesses in Western Canada. Traveler Choice Awards are the highest honour ehCanadaTravel.com can bestow.
The East Kootenay is well represented in the top 10. Coming in at fifth in the top 10 is Radium Hot Springs’ Misty River Lodge.
Thanks to British Columbia’s vibrant tourism industry, the province holds down six of the top 10 spots, with the eight to 10th spots belonging to Enchanted Forest and Skytrek Adventure Park near Revelstoke, Nakusp Hot Springs and Three Valley Lake Chateau west of Revelstoke.
Award winners are selected by travellers who visit the website, social travel communities, nine social media channels and blog. The results are derived from the millions of views from the accumulation of website analytics and statistics, social media and blog interactions over the past year. Canada Travel currently publishes over 2,000+ tourism listings in Western Canada. These annual awards reflect “the best of the best” of the accommodations and attractions.
