Fernie looking to honour youth achievement again

June 2012 will mark the second year that the Youth Achievement Award has been awarded and presented in June to coincide with the end of the school year and graduation.

In the past this award has been presented at the Community and Business Excellence Awards in October. By moving the award to June last year we created much more interest & nominations! We hope the same will happen this year. Do you know an exceptional youth? Nominate them today!

Award Criteria:

This award recognizes the contribution youth make to their community, and is open to any youth 19 and under, who lives or volunteers in the City of Fernie or surrounding area. This young person has contributed to their community through volunteer service, and has demonstrated leadership abilities. Award sponsored by The City of Fernie and the Fernie Chamber of Commerce.

Nomination forms & boxes can be found at the Fernie Academy, Fernie Secondary School, The Fernie Heritage Library and the Fernie Chamber of Commerce. Or just print out the attached nomination form and return to us here at the Chamber via one of the following ways: email, fax, mail or in person.
