Parker Abbott Trio in town Oct. 17
Next in concert at Fernie’s The Arts Station Oct. 17 is the Parker Abbott Trio.
The Parker Abbott Trio (jazz) are a keyboard-centric group of Toronto musicians exploring the intersections between two pianists and a drummer, and using a huge sonic palette to do so.
In 2011 the original duo of pianists Teri Parker and Simeon Abbott expanded into a trio with the addition of percussive powerhouse Mark Segger. Using a plethora of keyboard instruments and a pan-stylistic approach to composition and improvisation, the trio has created an utterly original, multi-faceted jazz group.
The trio is in town Monday, October 17 at 8 p.m.
