Teck announced today that a new five-year collective agreement has been ratified by employees at its Elkview Operations, replacing an agreement, which expired October 31, 2015.

“We are pleased to have achieved a collective agreement that is fair to employees and supports the ongoing viability of the operation,” said Don Sander, General Manager of Teck Elkview Operations.

The agreement covers approximately 770 unionized employees at Elkview, represented by the United Steelworkers Local 9346.
