The wily, patient and impervious to cold will be out to showcase their talents in search of big prizes Jan. 31 during the 15^th annual Kinsmen Club of Windermere Valley Fishing Derby.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Invermere’s Station Neighborhood Pub and tickets are $35. Proceeds raised during the six-hour ice fishing derby will go to the Kinsmen Club and then back into the community. The derby begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m.

First prize for the largest Lake Windermere fish caught is $500, with $300 going to second and $200 to third. Prize money may vary depending on the number of entries to the derby.
