Invermere’s Kinsmen Beach is going to be alive with activities again this weekend.

Front and centre is the 31st annual Bonspiel on the Lake, Friday, Jan. 23 to Sunday, Jan. 25.

The bonspiel is sold out but is always a beehive of activity as friends and family members of curlers hang out, enjoy the warming hut and tasty grub contained within.

Running in conjunction with the bonspiel is the Friday evening (Jan. 23) Snowflake Festival and Taste of the Valley, running from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kinsmen Beach.

Bundle up and head down to mingle with fellow community members and visitors, enjoy some music and a nice variety of tasty food, with delicious smells wafting on the wind.

The Lake Windermere Whiteway also comes alive during the Friday evening festivities as skaters, cross-country skiers and other outdoor recreation loving souls make the most of the world’s longest outdoor skating trail.
